文章概述了中南大学在事业蓬勃发展的同时,保持和发扬自身特色和优势,臻力于有色学科建设和人材培养,为解决有色工业重大技术难题和振兴我国有色工业做出了显著贡献,并从中阐述了对十六大报告中提出的“发展是党执政兴国的第一要务”等指示精神的认识。
A brief account of vigorous development of Central South University is given The university has made outstanding contributions to vitalization of China's nonferrous metals industry and to significant breakthroughs in the nonferrous metals industry in course of her utter devotion to personnel training and development of nonferrous courses of study and giving a fuller play to her superiorities and characteristics. Moreover, proceeding from the
above-said faets, the author's understanding of the following instructions is given-- '...., it is essential for the
party to give top priority to development in governing and rejuvenating the country....' (in the Report to the 16th
National Congress of the Communist party of China on November 8, 2002).
