实施帮扶工程 开辟独生子女家庭脱贫致富新途径

为从根本上改变“养儿防老”的旧观念 ,经济欠发达地区的连云港市赣榆县计划生育协会 ,在各级政府的大力支持下 ,对独生子女户实施帮扶工程 ,对计划生育特困家庭启动救助工程 ,引导他们根据各自的具体情况 ,选择有利于他们脱贫致富的项目 ,致力于发展生产 ,增强他们家庭的经济实力 ,为他们的老年生活奠定了厚实的经济基础。被称作“天下第一难”的计划生育工作也得以顺利进行。

In order to get rid of the old bearing concept of 'more sons for elderly support', the Family Planning Association of Ganyu County, Lianyungang, greatly supported by all-level local governments, has started two projects to help respectively one-child families and FP poverty-stricken families. The families are thus able to select available and profitable business so that they can not only raise their family income and improve their life quality now, but also accumulate enough wealth for later use when they are old. In this way, FP work, regarded as the most difficult work in the world, can be helped to reach its end.
