Hirudin is a drug that has both anti platelet aggregation and anti coagulation effect. To compare with hirudin, recombinant hirudin has more potent effect and less adverse reaction. In this article, the pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and clinical use of recombinant hirudin and its representative drug——lepirudin are introduced.
