Zhao Yi was a very characteristic individual at Qianjia era of Qing dynasty . The one was his double status-- historian and poet's amalgamation ,his historical thought and method had a great influence on his poetry produce and caused innovation on his poetry content and method. The other was that Zhao Yi advocated poetry innovation and he regarded the historical thought and method as a way of his poetry innovation practice.
