摘要
列文森是美国 2 0世纪五六十年代中国学研究领域最主要的学术代表之一 ,美国中国近代思想史研究领域的开拓者和领导者。本文主要对列文森的两部学术代表作———《梁启超与近代中国的心灵》和《儒教中国及其现代命运》(三卷本 )进行剖析 ,并对列文森的研究特点作了考察 ,认为他浓厚的“犹太情结”对其中国近代思想史研究有深刻影响 ;他的历史研究具有较为明显的历史相对主义倾向 ,他在阐述问题时喜欢用二分法 ,他有着强烈、深刻的问题意识。
The present article emphatically analyzes Levenson's representative books:'Liang Ch'i- ch'ao and the Mind of Modern China' and'Confucian China and Its Modern Fate'. Also the present article focuses on the four characteristics of Levenson's Chinese Studies. First, Levenson's study about the history of modern Chinese thought was deeply affected by his Jewish identity. Secondly, his study about history had the tendency of historical relativism. Thirdly, he liked to use dichotomy in his research. Fourthly, he had very strong and profound question awareness.
