Methodology in College English Teaching and Development of Students' Intelligence

大学英语教学如何提高教学质量,加强学生外语素质教育,开发学生智能和提高学生外语水平与运用能力,已成为各高校外语教师所关注和研究的重要课题。为此,在介绍和分析了大学英语教学现状的基础上,提出了提高学生外语水平和交际能力的教学原则及其在教学中的实际应用,以及如何优化教学方法,转变教学观念,从传统的传授知识为主转向既传授知识,更重视训练技能、开发学生智能、培养学生素质相统一上来。

It is now a common concern of college English teachers to find out ways to improve English teaching and students' diverse qualities, so that students' intelligence can be effectively developed and their English level and communicative competence be increased. This paper deals with the current English teaching situations, and then explores the ways to improve teaching that focus on students' effective learning.
