类属B树方法在GIS系统中的应用

摘要 1引言 自80年代以来,效据库新的应用领域不断出现.这些新兴的应用领域如:计算机集成制造系统CIMS、多媒体系统、地理信息系统(GIS)等,要求支撑的数据库管理系统(DBMS)能存储和处理各种复杂对象;支持新的数据类型和操作;支持动态模式修改;存储和处理四维环境下的信息{x,y,z,t};并能提供基于四维关系上的查询功能[5]. This paper introduces generalized B-trees. Then it describes how to design the dynamic type system based upon the generalized B-trees and apply to the GIS systems. In additional,in the paper,the work process and functions of generalized index mechanism are described.
