This essay mainly discusses lexical meaning assimilation(LMA) of Chine se lexical meaning change. LMA is a special change type, which can't be covered by traditional theory of lexical meaning change. According to word form change and the direction of assimilation, LMA can be divided into six kinds. The direction of assimilation is relevant to the construction of the word.
