The Study of Learning and Memory in Giant Honeybees(Apis dorsata)

摘要 大蜜蜂是蜜蜂属的一个重要种,与东西方蜜蜂不同,大蜜蜂营露天生活,并具有迁徙特性。东西方蜜蜂的学习与记忆研究已经取得了许多成果,而大蜜蜂的学习和记忆的研究至今未见报道。用壬醛、正已醛、香叶醇3种气味来探究大蜜蜂的联想学习和记忆能力。结果显示,大蜜蜂能够很好地适应PER学习模型,相关研究为以后进行大蜜蜂气味学习的研究提供行为证据。 Giant honeybees(Apis dorsata) is a significant species in Apis, but it different from Apis cerana and Apis mellifer, Apis dosata camping open-air life and having migrate behavior. There are a lot of learning and memory research in Apis cerana and Apis mellifer, the learning and memory study in Apis dosata not yet report. Here, we investigate Apis dosata' s associative olfactory learning with three different odors(hexanal, nonanal, and geraniol). Our results suggested that Apis dosata is equally amenable to the study of learning using the proboscis extension response paradigm supporting the behavioral evidence for future olfactory learning research with Apis dosata.
