Analysis of the Perceptions of Young Faculty in Selected Four-year Universities in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Regarding Collegiality

摘要 为了解高校青年教师有关合作氛围的真实看法,采用目的性取样,以内蒙古自治区十二所本科高校青年教师为研究对象,使用自编问卷进行调查。考察了高校青年教师有关合作氛围的需求与实际所得之间的差异,以及性别、民族与教龄因素对其看法所产生的影响。基于调查结果,提出相应建议,以构建利于内蒙古高校青年教师专业发展的合作氛围。 To explore the perceptions of young faculty regarding collegiality, a self-developed Likert scale survey and a purposive sampling were used to collect the data from the young faculty members in 12 selected four-year universities in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. This study analyzed the differences between the perceptions of young faculty regarding what they need and what they actually receive in collegiality, and also examined the impact that gender, ethnicity, and teaching experience categories have on the young faculty perceptions. On the basis of the results, this study provided some suggestions about establishing a collegial climate in higher education institutions in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in order to facilitate the professional development of young faculty.
