本文回顾蒙古文字史及其现状;罗列胡都木蒙古文字的诸多弊病;分析当前就蒙古文字改革方面的几种意见;指出蒙古文字改革必须走世界文字发展的共同道路——拉丁化,并强调其紧迫性。

The article reviewed history and present condition of Mongol written language,list numerous drawbacks of Hudum Mongol writings,analyzed suggestions on current language reform,and finally pointed out that the reform of Mongol written language must follow the common way of development in the world,it was Latin.
