本文采用翔实的佛教经典和汉、藏和蒙历史资料,阐述佛教从元朝以来传入蒙古的简单历史,结合色拉寺、巴仑台黄庙壁画中的八吉祥图,对八吉祥图的名称、寓意、演变及其在新疆蒙古族中的传播和影响作了系统全面的论述,对八吉祥图对新疆蒙古族的现实社会生活的影响作了积极的评价。

The article used accurate Buddhist classics and Han,Tibetan and Mongolians historical data to set forth simple history that Buddhism spread from the Yuan dynasty to Mongolia.Combining eight auspicious design in Sera Monastery and wall Painting of eight auspicious design in Baluntai Huang Temple,the article comprehensively discussed on the name,meaning,evolution as well as its spread and influence in Xinjiang Mongolians,and made a positive evaluation on its influence to Xinjiang Mongolian realistic social life.
