元代杨琏真伽佛事活动考略

Brief Investigation on Yanglian Zhengjia's Buddhist Activities in Yuan Dynasty

元统治者曾在杭州设立行宣政院和江淮诸路释教总统所,任命朝廷信任的僧人杨琏真伽等管理该地区的佛教事务。杨琏真伽在江淮任职十余年,积极落实朝廷的宗教政策,先后负责雕印河西字《大藏经》和《普宁藏》,新建或复建寺院和佛塔,组织江南禅教僧人参加廷辩,为飞来峰汉藏佛教造像的最大功德主之一。杨琏真伽的佛事活动不仅为藏传佛教在江南的传播和佛典的流行起了积极作用,而且促进和推动了不同民族佛教文化的相互吸收与融合。

Yuan Dynasty high class rulers once set up a government administration,appointing monks such as Yanglian Zhengjia to manage the Buddhist activities of the district.YanglianZhengjia worked in JianghuaiRegion for more than ten years,actively implementing the government's religious policies.During this time,he was responsible for engraving Tripitaka and Puningzang(Tripitaka in Puning Temple)and managing the building and repairing of temples and pagodas where Zen Buddhists participated in court debates.This was the greatest merit lord Buddha in Chinese and Tibetan Buddhist statues.YanglianZhengjia'sBuddhist activities not only spread Tibetan Buddhism in the South—East of China but also promoted the mutual absorption and fusion of different cultures and nationalities.
