摘要
研究显示,内容依托式教学法对提高英语专业学生的语言技能、促进专业知识学习有明显作用。该研究通过对行业院校英语专业在民航英语专业课程授课阶段实施CBI教学实验进行研究,探讨了民航英语专业课阶段各门课程的课程设置和教学方法。通过测试、访谈等研究发现:把CBI理念引入民航英语教学不会影响学生的语言发展,还可以显著提高学生的语言输出能力和思维能力。在ESP课程中实施CBI教学模式的关键问题是处理好专业内容和语言技能的比例与衔接,保证学生在课堂中的主导作用和语言教学的核心地位。
Statistics show that Content-Based Instruction can significantly help English major students to promote the efficiency of their language and professional knowledge acquiring. By applying CBI to Civil Aviation English teaching and conducting reform upon Curriculum setting and teaching approaches, CBI proves to exert no adverse influence on students' language development but demonstrates great advantages in developing students' language output capability. The key issue in applying CBI in ESP-like courses is to maintain a proper proportion between content and language, so as to guarantee the leading role of language teaching in students' oriented classes.
