In this paper,the important meaning of researching for checking and measuring tread flats automatically is discussed,and the status quo of the development of the research inside and outside of China is summarized.A novel pedal method for checking and measuring tread flats with a furcated mechanism with equivalent length of arms is put forword,the principle of this system and the realization of measuring automatically are described.At the same time while analyzing the outcome of the experiment,the corresponding theoretical analysis and the solution to some related factual application problems are worked out.
