江南水乡古镇多集中于苏南及杭嘉湖地区 ,有小桥流水人家的水乡风光 ,且具悠久的历史 ,保存了大量的古建筑和古民居。为了让江南水乡古镇传统遗韵流芳百世 ,有关管理部门应采取一些保护方略 ,在挖掘民俗风情提高古镇的文化品位基础上 ,寻求传统与商业的最佳契合点 ,注重水资源保护和旅游环境容量的控制 ,培养古城可持续发展理念 ,长久维护古镇的水乡风貌。
