In this paper,a four wheel input road random roughness model in time domain is set up and an analytical study is carried out on the 8 DOF nonlinear dynamic model for the light bus Then the calculated ride comfort parameters are input into the neural network with radial basic function for optimizing the rear suspension parameters The algorithm is accurate and reasonable,which provides a new method for further study on ride comfort of the vehicle
