Promoting the Cultural Innovation of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics under the Guidance of Marxism: A Review of the Symposium on the 200th Anniversary of Marx’s Birthday and Marxism and Cultural Innovation

2018年3月在威海举办了'纪念马克思诞辰200周年暨马克思主义与文化创新研讨会',130余位学者从以下几个方面展开学术研讨。第一,加强马克思主义理论体系中的文化相关思想研究,以充分展现马克思主义及中国特色社会主义文化自信的巨大力量;要充分挖掘马克思主义文化理论的当代价值。第二,习近平新时代中国特色社会主义文化思想具有丰富而深刻的内涵,比如通过创造和生产精神文化产品以满足人的精神文化需求,通过对文化自信的唯物史观阐释提出文化发展新战略,凸显文化建设的人民性等;因而它也具有重大战略意义。第三,主张坚持'马魂''中体(根)''西用'原则,大力发展马克思主义综合创新文化学派,持续推进'马学''中学'互化融合进而建构新的科学信仰体系;为此,就必须实现中华优秀传统文化资源的现代利用和转化发展。第四,几位海外马克思主义文化学者特别关注西方社会的马克思主义、文化及各种进步运动,并对中国特色社会主义文化建设寄予厚望;国内学者对西方马克思主义者赖特、威廉斯、埃尔斯特以及传播政治经济学的研究都对我们的文化创新具有重大借鉴意义。

In March 2018,a symposium on'the 200th Anniversary of Marx’s Birthday and Marxism and Cultural Innovation'was held at Weihai.More than 130 scholars of interest participated in academic discussion.The main topics of it were as follows.First,in order to fully show the great strength of Marxism and socialist culture confidence with Chinese characteristics,we should fully explore the contemporary value of Marxist cultural theory.Second,Xi Jinping’s cultural thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era has rich and profound connotations,for example,we can create and produce spiritual and cultural products to suit the spiritual and cultural needs of human beings,we can interpret the historical materialism of cultural self-confidence to put forward a new strategy of cultural development for the people’s character in the cultural construction.Third,by sticking to the principle of'the Marxism(learning under the)soul','the Chinese(learning as the)essence',and'the West(learning for its)utility',we should develop the school of Marxist culture integrated innovation and promote the mutual integration of'Marxism study'and'Chinese tradition study'for the construction of a new scientific belief system by transformation and development of Chinese excellent traditional cultural resources.Fourth,several overseas Marxist cultural scholars pay special attention to Marxism,culture and various progressive movements in western society,and place great hopes on the construction of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.And the work of Wright,Williams,Elster and the other political economy communication scholars also have great significance to our cultural innovation.
