The Historical-Critical Edition of the Complete Works of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels(MEGA^2)is the most authoritative and complete edition of the works of Marx and Engels.The second part of this edition,the'Capital'and its preparatory works,was finished in 2012.It contains all the works and manuscripts related to'Capital'by Marx and Engels after 1857.In this part,people generally pay more attention to the manuscripts related to Volume II and Volume III of'Capital',and ignore the literatures related to Volume I.In fact,after the publication of the first volume of'Capital'in 1867,Marx continued to devote himself to the revision of this volume and the research of related issues,leaving several manuscripts and related materials for it in the process.Although these literatures are generally small in scale,they are of great significance to understand deeply Marx’s research methods and presentation methods,and to understand the history of formation and dissemination of'Capital'.Engels also left a number of manuscripts in the revision process of the first volume of'Capital',which witnessed Engels’long-term contribution to it.
