摘要
观察了19只慢性植入电极的大鼠在清醒状态下由侧脑室或腹腔注射胰岛素后对睡眠的影响。侧脑室注射0.14U胰岛素可选择性增加慢波睡眠;腹腔注射相同剂量的胰岛素对睡眠无明显影响。结果提示侧脑室注射小量胰岛素引起慢波睡眠的增加与中枢存在着胰岛素受体有关。
Effects of a small dose of insulin (0.14U) on sleep were studied in rats. Insulin was administered through intracerebroventricular (ICV) and intraperitoneal routes in rats and their sleep was simultaneously recorded. ICV administraion of insulin resulted in a selective increase of the duration of slow wave sleep (SWS), whereas paradoxic sleep (PS) remained unchanged. Intraperitoneal injection of insulin of the same dose as ICV administration caused no change in the durations of SWS and PS. The changes of the concentration of plasma glucose were observed after ICV and intraperitoneal injections of insulin. No significant difference was found in the plasma glucose concentration before and after the injections. The present findings suggest that insulin have a selective promotion affects on the sleep of rats. This sleep-promoting effect of imsulin could be a direct action of insulin on brain neurochemical functions.
