该文论述"大禹治水"神话东传日本,为日本先民所接纳与摄取,并创作了"变异体"的"土母治水"神话.旨在证实早在史前,中国的传统文化就开始对日本文化产生影响.

This paper intends to probe into how the myth of Emperor Dayu’s river-harnessing was introduced into Japan, accepted and absorbed by Japanese ancestors. It also expounds how the Japanese myth of Mother Earth’s river-harnessing was created on the basis of the Chinese version. Its purpose is to verify the fact that traditional Chinese culture began to exert an influence upon Japanese culture as early as the prehistoric period.
