摘要
中外已有许多学者从多种角度对丹尼尔*笛福的小说<摩尔*弗兰德斯>的主人公摩尔*弗兰德斯进行了比较深入的研究,但很少从言语的角度对她进行探讨.该文从语用的角度分析了摩尔*弗兰德斯的言语使用特点,说明摩尔*弗兰德斯善于通过言语实施她的目的,而且她的言语行为符合语用学专家Leech提出的礼貌原则.
Many people at home and abroad have studied from different angles the main character, Moll Flanders, in Daniel Defoe’s novel “Moll Flanders”. But few have studied her from the angle of her utterance. This article analyzes the characteristics of Moll Flanders’ utterances from pragmatic point of view. It is shown that Moll Flanders is skillful in using her utterances to realize her goals and that her utterances conform to the politeness principle presented by Leech.
