摘要
社会语言学是一门交叉性学科,现在已进入了成熟发展的阶段.本文回顾了社会语言学在中国的发展,重点阐述了外语工作者在社会语言学领域所做的研究.指出近年来社会语言学论文在外文期刊上屈指可数.笔者建议应该把完善社会语言学的理论同实际运用结合起来.
Sociolinguistics is interdisciplinary and now it has become a recognized branch of the social sciences. The paper provides an overview of sociolinguistic development in China with the focus on the studies conducted by foreign language researchers. It points out that there are fewer papers on sociolinguistics in academic journals devoted to the study of foreign languages. The suggestion is made that perfection of sociolinguistic theories should be combined with their application.
