Ideational Theme with Different Semantic Properties and Micro Register Text Types Reading after The Old Man and the Sea

本篇论文以海明威小说《老人与海》中的微型语域语篇体裁为语料 ,从元功能理论的角度分析和论证了小句概念主位的经验内容与语篇体裁和语篇体裁结构成分之间的关系。分析表明 :小句的出发点是说话者或作者为了实现某种交流目的所做的有意义的选择。小句概念主位的经验内容和语篇体裁有着密不可分的联系。

In this paper the author mainly discusses the relationship between genre and the theme with different semantic property. The discussion is carried out with the help of the theory of the semantic property division raised by Halliday. The data used in the paper are all derived from The Old Man and the Sea written by Hemingway. The conclusion is that genres prefer the Themes with certain semantic property realization, which can be regarded as one of the main characteristics on the language level to distinguish different text types. In a conversation or a long literary work, it can be used to identify the micro register texts embedded in a macro text, thus help increase the students' reading and writing abilities.
