A Probe into the Revision of English Compositions by Postgraduate Students

摘要 本文对公外研究生作文的批改提出了作者的见解。主要从四个方面进行了探讨 :第一 ,对学生作文可以先进行筛选分类 ,段改为宜。批改一篇作文不一定全改 ,即可择其一部分进行修改。第二 ,批改作文的过程中 ,对学生作文主要应以开拓学生思路为主。老师要指点学生在作文时 ,要晓得宾主虚实 ,正反开合 ;要晓得脉理 ,来龙去脉要清楚 ;要晓得步骤 ;更重要的是作文要会创作。第三 ,改作文时要因势利导 ,顺势成章。改文章“当看其姿禀所就 ,意见所及 ,各顺其性而委曲以成之”此为行文要务。改亦为不佳之作 ,宁可置之。最后老师要倡导学生自改互改 ,深入揣摩。 This essay draws on recent research and teaching into the way of composition revision of postgroduate students of Tsinghua University. It presents the composition revision in four basic aspects: First choose and classify. Paragraph revision is a good idea on the basis of choosing and classifying among quite a lot of students' compositions. Second open the minds of students and put stress on guide. When teaching writing, teachers should help students know what is important and what is less important, know the two sides of a thing, and know how to create the new. Third revise the student's composition along its 'veins'. The teacher would rather give it up if it is too poor to be improved. And finally, make students help and learn from each other through the revision work of the group discussion.
