摘要
英语文学课是体现英语专业特点的课程 ,有利于提高学生的英语水平、文化修养和审美情趣 ,是素质教育的重要组成部分 ,其地位不容动摇。英语文学教学不应局限于英美文学 ,应研究和评介各英语国家的优秀作家和作品。英语文学教学中要注意到电子传播媒介的负面影响 ,应采取有效的对策 ,引导学生独立思考 ,严谨治学。
Literature courses are indispensable for English majors. They can help students to improve their English proficiency and cultivate their cultural and aesthetic tastes, and therefore constitute an important part in quality education. We should not limit our teaching and research to English and American literatures,but to include all good literary works in English. We must be aware of the negative effects of the electronic mass media and try to adopt measures so as to guide the students to think independently and work earnestly.
