摘要
英国高等学校的科研水平评估(Research Assessment Exercise, RAE)从1986年开始,每四年或五年进行一次,结合教学设备、教师素质、研究生数量、课程安排、研究质量、创新能力等进行评估,评出7个等级,并以其评估的等级为依据进行相应的科研拨款补助。由于此科研评估是在各学科领域中进行,比较科学和公正,对我国大学的教学与科研评价具有一定的参考和指导意义。
Research Assessment Exercise, RAE in Britain started in 1986 and is conducted once every 4 or 5 years based on facilities, faculty, graduates, curriculum, research and innovation. The assessment provides 7 grades and appropriate corresponding research subsidies according to the related grade of the institution. The assessment has proved scientific and impartial, and can provides us reference and guidance.
