摘要
以爱默生倡导的超验主义诗学之一"象征"为例,着重分析象征的两个主要宗教原因,即爱默生的宗教多元主义和宗教神秘主义,以此表现和证明爱默生的宗教思想在其超验主义诗学中的体现和张扬。爱默生的宗教思想在美国超验主义诗学中的渗透使众多超验主义文学作品体现出强烈的宗教性和神秘性,这既丰富和发展了美国浪漫主义文学,也促成了其向意象主义的演变。
Taking 'symbol' of transcendentalistic poetics proposed by Emerson as an example, this paper is aimed at analyzing the two main religious reasons of symbol: Emerson's religious multimensionalism and religious mythicalism, to prove the manifestation of his religious thougts. The permeation of Emerson's religious thoughts in American religious thougts enables many transcendentalistic literary works to embody much religiousness and mythicalness, which enriches and pushes American Romantic literature forward and accelerates its transformation towards imagism.
