Even-Zohar's Polysystem Theory and his contribution to modern translation studies

佐哈提出"分层系统理论"将译学研究推向了一个新的发展阶段。就研究范式而言,佐哈所采用的"分层系统理论"坚持认为"层次"(stratification)无处不在,文学功能也从不以紊乱无序的整体形式体现。他将文化史的"普遍法则"引入译学研究,开始在一个更大的社会文化语境之中观照实际译本,并着力强调翻译或译本在文学研究和文化进化的大语境之下所具有的重要性,其目的在于归纳并建立一些新的"普遍法则"。

Translation studies now involves the consideration of cultural paradigms,and thereby,of their mutual relevance.The consideration,however,has its archetypal birth mainly in the contribution ever made by ltamar EvenZohar,who advocated the Polysystem Theory in pursuit of the socalled Idee and thus made an adequate contribution to moden translation studies.
