语言使用的过程就是语言选择的过程。通过对英汉语篇语料的分析,考察衔接显化和语域、语篇连贯之间的关系,指出英汉语篇构建和英汉互译过程中,衔接形式层次上的正确选择对生成连贯语篇具有重要的意义。

According to Verschueren, using language must consist of continuous linguistic choices, consciously and unconsciously.This paper first observes and studies the relationship between cohesive overtness and register by analyzing a group of language materials, and then concludes that constructing a text (both English and Chinese) and its translation require the proper cohesive choices.
