关于“益”、“石”分合的涵义和《切韵》的重纽──与张光宇先生商榷

On the implications of the separation and combination of 益 and 石, and Chong-niu（重纽） in Qie-yun（切韵）

论者根据“益”与“石”的上古来源，认为它们分别代表重纽的两类，并由现代闽方言推论《切韵》的重纽是综合了古代方言。本文指出论者误解了重纽的结构，而现代闽方言与论者所谓的古代“乙方言”也并不吻合。中古“益”、“石”分属两韵的音系及现代闽方言的确反映了上古音的特点，表现了上古至中古元音演变的轨迹，但与重纽无关。重纽是《切韵》音系内部的音位区别。

Some researcher considered 益 and石 as the representations of two kinds of Chong-niu （重纽） owing to their origins from Old Chinese, and deduced that Chong-niu in Qie-yun（切韵） was the synthesis of ancient dialects accordance with modern Min（闽） Dialect. This paper indicate this is a mistake for the configuration of Chong-niu, and modern Min Dialect and some ancient dialect that was alleged to corresponds with Min do not tally. Certainly, some ancient dialect that separated益 and石 to dissimilar rhymes and modern Min Dialect reflect some features of Old Chinese and the orbit of evolution of vowels from Old Chinese to Ancient Chinese. But they are foreign to Chong-niu. Chong-niu existed in Qie-yun system as the phonemic difference.
