Guard the University's Fundamental Mission,Essence and Soul:Review on José Ortegay Gasset's Book Mission of the University

作为20世纪西班牙著名的社会活动家和思想家,奥尔特加·加塞特在大学教育与大学改革领域亦有其独到的建树,在其影响深远的《大学的使命》一书中便可见一斑。笔者通过对《大学的使命》一书的解读来探讨奥尔特加·加塞特的大学教育思想,借此镜鉴我国大学的改革与使命守护。如何守护大学之本、之根、之魂,研读《大学的使命》,探求大学的育人之本、崇尚科学之根、涵养文化之魂,对当今时代的大学改革与大学发展有着很好的借鉴意义。

JoséOrtegay Gasset,a famous social activist and thinker of Spain in the 20 th century made great achievements in higher education and university reform which was included in his far-reaching book Mission of the University.This paper reviews the book and illustrates the higher education thoughts of JoséOrtegay Gasset and accordingly provides references for university reform and mission guard.The study of Mission of the University and the pursuit of universities' education fundamental mission,the essence of advocating science,and the soul of cultivation promotes referential significance in university development and reform in contemporary China.
