A new national record of 4107m long distance ventilation in single thnnel drivage

The Xinzonglong exploratory tunnel at 380m level in Yangmeishan mine, the Administration of Zixing Coal Mines, Hunan Province, of which section area is 5.1m^2, was ventilated by a auxiliary fan of 11 KW, JBT-52-2, with a 600mm in dia ventilation tube. Each section of ventilation tube is 50m or loom long. The pin eyes on the tube were sealed with adhesive tapes and the tube was hanged horizontally and straight, with good maintenance and check, and drainage of water in the tube, so the efficient wind was increased. The auxiliary fan worked well from Oct, 1979 to March, 1984, The ventilation legth of 4107m for single fan and single tube in long distance was realized. The efficient wind at working face was 88.76m^3/min, the rate of the efficacious wind of the tube reached 93.5 percent. The old national record of long distance ventilation for single fan and single tube, 3795m long, set by the Administration of Zaozhuang Coal Mines in Shandong Province, was broken.
