摘要
"五四"新文学运动历来被视为中国文学现代性的起点,然而中国现代文学深受欧风美雨的浸润,要追溯西方文学影响之源头,必然要回归至晚清文学,尤其是翻译文学。林纾作为近代译介西方文学的第一人,翻译介绍了大量颇有价值的欧美小说,而晚年却因顽固的守旧态度成为"新"向"旧"革命的受害者。实则,林纾代表作《巴黎茶花女》便是一部独具现代性意蕴的文学作品,同时,其自身的"多情客"气质以及其他林译小说也演绎了一幕幕以人为主体,彰显内在情感的文学现代性戏码。"五四"文学的新芽早已悄然孕育于林译小说中,近代之林纾毫无疑问参与了现代之文学的建构。
The May 4 th new literature movement has always been regarded as the starting point of Chinese literary modernity. However, Chinese modern literature is deeply influenced by the European and American writing style. To trace the source of the influence of western literature, it is necessary to return to the literature of the late Qing Dynasty, especially the translation literature. Lin Shu, as the first person to translate and introduce western literature in modern times,translated and introduced a large number of valuable European and American novels. In fact, Lin shu’s representative La Dame aux Camellias is a literary work with a unique modern connotation. Meanwhile, his 'complex of affections' and other translated novels have also given rise to the literary modernity with human oriented and inner feelings highlighted. There existed some germs of the May 4 th literature in Lin’s translated novels, and Lin Shu in modern times undeniably participated in the construction of modern literature.
