On Wen Yanbo's Prose Creation Theory

文彦博不但是北宋重臣,他在散文创作理论领域的创见也值得关注,具体内容包括以下三个方面:首先,散文为现实服务的实用主义理论;其次,追求文章质实,反对浮华;第三,提倡文章简质明白的语言风格。尽管他的散文创作理论还存在着局限与不足,但对深入研究文彦博散文创作实践,认清北宋诗文革新的复杂性,深入研究北宋散文风格的新变大有裨益。

Wen Yanbo was a senior official of the Northern Song Dynasty. His constructive view on the prose creation theory is also significant. To be specific,it can be concluded as follows. First,he stood for the pragmatism theory that prose serves for reality; second,his prose went for modesty while against vanity; and third,he advocated concise language style. Though,his prose creation theory has its limits and shortages,it's still of great benefit for our further study on his prose creation practice,getting a clear understanding on the complexity of the poem and prose innovation of the Northern Song Dynasty and further study on the new change of the prose creation style of the Northern Song Dynasty.
