A new material named 07/09Cr2AlMoRE that has good humid H2S corrosion resistance is developed. The chemical compositions, mechanical properties, anti-corrosion mechanism of 09Cr2AlMoRE seamless steel and 07Cr2AlMoRE steel plate are introduced, and the test data of the welding material are given. The function of the microscopic behavior of terres rares in steel is analyzed. The results of test and application show that, 07/09Cr2AlMoRE steel has good stress corrosion resistance and uniform corrosion resistance and high humid H2S corrosion resistance. Therefore it is suitable for use on some of the oil refinery equipment and oil and gas gathering and transferring equipment running in a H2S environment.
