The article,take the worship of the'Zugu'in Fujian and Taiwan as an example,shows that it is an important form of belief in Fujian and Taiwan.Take Mazu as a typical case of many Zugu and put her in the overall Zugu worship framework,the article explores the initial form of Mazu before becoming a national god of the sea and analyzes her strengthened image after becoming a god.Furthermore,we discuss the regional social culture related to ancestor worship.
