The formation and development of Mazu belief has a complicated historical background.It not only because the appreciation and recognition of the public for the spirit of Mazu’s love,but also the need and utilization of the dynasty’s consolidation of the ruling status,as well as the inherent requirements of economic and social development.The spread of Mazu culture in countries and regions along the ancient Silk Road began in Song Dynasty,flourished in Yuan,developed in Ming,and prospered in Qing.The background of the formation and development of Mazu culture and its spread of time and space laws in overseas countries still have positive practical implications for today.
