Mazu culture is closely related with marine culture.Mazu Belief was bred and grew in marine culture while the ocean environment is the objective condition for the origin of Mazu culture and the psychological need of the people living in coastal regions is the subject one.Mazu culture also reflects the the nature of oriental ocean culture because it is spread in the oriental ocean culture circle and the receptors of Mazu culture share the characteristic of such an ocean culture.Today,Mazu has become a bridge and bond connecting people on both side of the Taiwan Straits.With its greater cohesion and centripetal force,Mazu has become a marine Goddess of Peace worshipped globally.
