王得禄的水师生涯及与妈祖信仰关系研究

王得禄早期的水师生涯,从最初以署南澳镇右营守备身份随护李鼎元等人册封琉球,到修葺鼓浪屿三和宫,乃至到新庄慈佑宫献匾,都可看到福建水师对于妈祖信仰虔诚的概况。王得禄到新庄慈佑宫、西定坊海安宫、温陵妈庙与海山馆贡献匾额及协助建庙的用意,是为了感谢当地民众在战事上的协助,以及笼络当地人继续协助官军,以便于防御来自海上的海寇侵袭。王得禄在担任福建水师提督时,对福济宫、镇福宫,新港奉天宫、北港朝天宫、溪北六兴宫、朴子配天宫等妈祖庙公共空间的敬献动作,都就属相当重要的文化象征行为。从王得禄一生经历福建水师从行伍到提督的历程中,对于妈祖信仰当然有其庇佑航海顺利的海神信仰层面,更有其笼络地方人士的功能,此外对于妈祖信仰的崇敬亦有经营地方与累积文化象征资本的功能。

Wang Delu’s early career as a navy started from an accompanying guard of Li Dingyuan on the tour to Ryukyu as the identity of garrison of the right camp in Shunan’ao town.Then he repaired the Sanhe Palace in Gulang island,and presented horizontal inscribed board to the Xinzhuang Ciyou Palace.From above,we can see the devotional faith of Fujian navy.Wang Delu’s presentation to Xinzhuang Ciyou Palace,Xidingfang Hai’an Palace,Wenling Ma Temple and Haishan Pavilion is to thank the local people for their assistance in the war and wooe the locals to assist the officers continuously in order to defend against the pirates.When Wang Delu was the admiral of the Fujian Navy,his presentation to the public space of the Mazu Temple and other public spaces such as Fuji Palace,Zhenfu Palace,Xingang Fengtian Palace,Beigang Chaotian Temple,Liuxing Liuxing Palace and Puzi Piantian Temple were very important cultural symbolic behaviors.In the life experience of Wang Delu from Fujian Navy as a soldier to admiral,Mazu belief not only existed as patron saint,but also a wooing to the locals.Besides,Mazu belief showed the function of operating the local place and accumulating the culture symbols.
