The essay discusses cross-border medical behavior of the Sherpa people based on the field study among the Sherpa people of the Zhang mu port in China-Nepal border. The research shows that the cross-border medical behavior of Sherpa people not only reflects rational choice of the people living on the frontiers and reveals the problems of social system that lead and restrict medical behavior, but it is also embedded in the social networks and numerous other cross-border activities of Sherpa people. Cross-border medical behavior contains cultural identity which is continued by traditional customs, and it is led by religious belief in traditional ethnic healthcare.
