回族教育"两难选择"的当代抉择

The Choice Made When Faced with the Dilemma in the Hui Nationalities' Education at Present

教育是民族文化传承的重要手段之一,本文通过审视和解读贯穿于西部回族千百年历史过程的"念经与念书"这一"两难选择"问题,认为西北回族社会"念经与念书"的两难选择问题,直到当代这一问题还没有完全解决。如何处理好"念经与念书"的关系,作者认为需要对西部回族"念经与念书"的"两极"程度进行客观评估,调整思维角度,理性观察回族社会文化抉择的心理态势,探索回族教育主流特点,努力寻求"念经与念书"的切合点,这要求回族社会作出相应的理性调适但更为重要的是当代西部回族教育的发展,也要求主流社会作出相应的理性调适。

Education is a very important means to succeed the minority cultures. This essay examines and decodes the dilemma running through the Hui Nationalities' history for thousands of years--- to study Quran or to study Chinese? The author here thinks that this problem is still at issue till today. How to deal with the relations between the two issues? In the author's opinion, the objective evaluation should be made between the two issues, people's angle in thinking should be adjusted, an observation of the Hui people's psychology when making the choice in the society and among their cultures should be made reasonably, the features of the mainstream of the Hui Nationality education should be explored, the conjunction should be found between the studying of Quran and the studying of Chinese. The realization of those aims above needs the Hui society to make some sensible adjustment in accordance and meanwhile, the development of the Hui Nationality education also requires the mainstream society to make some sensible adjustment in accordance. 
