A Brief Discussion on Tsagan and His Clan Under Yuan Dynasty

察罕是早期众多归附蒙古政权的西夏人之一,他及他的家族在蒙元政权的政治生活中发挥了重要作用。他们长期与蒙古族、汉族及其他民族的杂居共处,相互交流,并与其他民族通婚,并最终融合于其他民族之中。

Chagan was one of many Xi Xia nationalities who submitted to the Mongolian regime in its earlier stages. Chagan and his clan once took a very important role in the political life under the government of Mongolian and Yuan dynasty`s historical period. For a long time, they lived, communicated and intermarried with Mongolian, Han and other minority nationalities and finally melted into those nationalities.
