摘要
中国文化和中国宗教有没有超越性 ?这是世界性的文化学和宗教学的重大课题。郝大维与安乐哲出自一个特殊的目的 ,即把中国宗教解释成西方宗教的互补物 ,认定中国文化没有严格超越性 ,只有所谓的内在超越性。这和事实不符。只要是宗教就是严格超越的 ,中国宗教和中国文化也不例外。例如 ,荀子的哲学就表现出明显的超越性倾向。怀特海的过程哲学用自然和历史的两分法确立了一种新的超越性和内在性平衡的关系 ,为解读中国哲学开辟了一条新途径。
Is there transcendence in the Chinese cultu re and religions? This is a big problem in the worldly investigation of culture an d religion. David Hall and Rogers Ames, from a particular aim, explain Chinese r eligions as the alternative of the Western religion and confim that there is no transcendence in the Chinese culture but so-called immanent transcendence. Their idea is not in conformity with facts. If only it is a religion it must be stric tly transcendent and there is no exception in the Chinese culture and religion. For example, Xun Zhi's philosophy expresses salient tendency of transcendence, T he Proess Philosophy of Whitehead has established a new equilibrium of transcend ence and immanence by the dichotomy of nature and history as has opened a new he rmeneutic way to understand the Chinese philosophy.
