青木文教——日本西本愿寺派遣的赴藏留学生

Aoki Bunkyou (1886—1956):a Student Studying in China dispatched by Japanese Nishi Honganji

青木文教(1886—1956),日本著名藏学家,早年入京都府立中学,后退学入佛教大学学习。此间,被京都西本愿寺选派进入中国西藏留学,成为筑就他一生事业的契机,其著《西藏游记》不仅在日本的藏学史上具有重要影响,而且对于我国研究近代西藏史、西藏文化亦具有重要参考价值。

Aoki bunkyou (1886—1956) was a Japanese famous researcher of Tibetanology.He went to Kyōto Municipal Middle School in his early years,later left the middle school and enter into Buddhist University for studying Buddhist philosophy.During the university period,he was dispatched by Kyōto Nishi Honganji to China,and that was a turning point for him to construct his cause in his life.His 'Tibetan Travel Notes' has not only an important value in Japanese Tibetanological history but also an important referential value about studies on Tibetan modern history in China.
