摘要
在棉花陆地棉与海岛棉种间杂交后代中发现具有陆地棉背景的闭冠授粉变异体,其闭冠特性在整个开花期稳定,不受环境条件的影响,并能够稳定地遗传给后代。这一发现使棉花从常异交作物向完全自交转变成为可能,对避免推广品种混杂退化的发生、保持种性、延长使用年限具有十分重要的意义。
A mutant upland cotton with cleistogamic flowers was discovered in the progeny of an interspecific hybridization between Gossypium hirsutum and Gossypium barbadense. This inherited character is consistent in the whole flowering stage and is not influenced by environmental condifions. The transition of cotton from the often cross-pollinated crop to the entire selling crop becomes possible by the using of the cleistogamic character. It has specific implication in cultivar maintenance of uplan cotton.
