Case Changes of the Chinese Pronouns ru and er in the Three Kingdoms Period

通过定量与定性分析 ,历时与共时对比 ,对学术界存在争议的人称代词“汝”和“尔”的“格”的问题进行了研究 ,考察了三国时期二者在“格”上的变化 :它们都可用于主、宾、领格 ,除个别文献外 ,“汝”三格的频率和比例均高于“尔”,先秦汉语里“汝”

The present paper studies,using both quantitative and qualitative statistics and synchronic and diachronic techniques,the controversial case changes of the two personal pronouns ru and er (both meaning 'you') in the Three Kingdoms Period,concluding that in their uses as subject,object and possessive,the word ru appeared more frequently than er and that the possessive use of ru had been no longer subjected to any grammatical restriction in the Pre Qin times.
