The structures, functions and characteristics of the microcomputer-based communication network for the Jitong DMUs are briefed in the light of the locomotive microcomputer, MMI and Lonworks Network. The microcomputer control scheme of the motor vehicles, control scheme of the train multiunit and the communication specifications between the MMI and other components are put forward.
