Performance of assurance services in differentiated services networks based on simulation

通过仿真实验探讨RIO参数设置对确保服务质量的影响 .实验结果表明 ,合理设置RIO的门限值和配置方式可以提高网络的公平性 ,改善确保服务的性能 .

The impact of setting and configurations of RIO parameters on the performance of Assurance Services was analyzed through a number of network simulations. The simulations were conducted by means of changing the parameters of RIO algorithm and varying the reservation ratio of bottleneck bandwidth. The results showed that proper settings of RIO parameters could improve the fairness of sharing excess bandwidth and enhance the performance of Assurance Services. Based on the analysis of the data acquired in the simulations, a fundamental relationship between RIO settings and performance of Assurance Services was built and it is valuable for parameter configurations in the case of various network conditions.
