摘要
华南及澳大利亚的地质、地球物理资料对比研究表明:①湘黔桂拼合线,分开了岩石圈结构不同的两个地体,即扬子复合地体和湘中地体;②湘中地体,原系西澳大陆块的一部分,它们在1100~750Ma前从南纬58°漂移万里到达北半球,并与扬子复合地体拼合;③西澳主大陆与湘中地体的离散,发生在奥陶纪晚期或志留纪早期。
Comparative study of the geologic and geophysical data from southern China and Australia indicate that Xiangqiangui suture line seperates two terranes of different lithosperic structure, that is, Yangtze composite terrane and Xiangzhong terrane; Xiangzhong terrane was primarily a part of western Australia landmass, which drifted northward to northern hemisphere from 58 degrees of latitude south during 1100 to 750 Ma ago, and it was put togat her with Yangtze composite terrane; the divergence of Xiangzhong terrane from west Australia mainland took place during late Ordovician or early Silurian Period.
